University of Bath CDSVAN Digital Interpreting Suites
The MA Interpreting & Translation Programme at the University of Bath is designed to train linguists for careers as professional interpreters and translators.
Bath has been training interpreters and translators for 50 years and many of its graduates can be found working in the profession in a variety of countries around the world.
The students learn simultaneous and consecutive translation skills and professional interpreting in the commercial and public sectors supported by a friendly team of qualified and experienced staff.
Learning is facilitated by two state of the art digital interpreting suites based around the Brähler Congress Delegate Virtual Audio Network (CDSVAN) System.
These systems were skilfully installed and commissioned at Bath by Reflex AV who also provided the necessary Audio Visual Integration to complement the advanced features of the Brähler Systems.
Brähler ICS UK Ltd are leaders in the design and supply of University Interpretation Training Facilities and currently have systems installed in 11 Universities in the United Kingdom.
A unique selling point for Brähler is how we are able to provide students with hands on experience of an internationally acclaimed industry standard system as used in the real world of interpreting coupled with the university providing students access to realistic training from experienced translation and interpreting trainers which helps to set them up for work when they graduate.
